We’re less than a week into the election year, and I already have a critical update for you: I officially have a new MAGA opponent.

State Senator Mark Baisley — who was running for Governor — is switching races and is now running to flip Colorado’s Senate seat red. Baisley is yet another far-right candidate who will be nothing but a rubber stamp on Donald Trump’s extreme agenda.

He’s even made despicable comments about his LGBTQ+ colleagues in the state legislature, describing them as having “a brokenness in their minds” and claiming that they are “in rebellion against nature.”

That’s not what we stand for here in Colorado. But it’s clear that Republicans want to elect a far-right fanatic who will push through more of Donald Trump’s extreme and wasteful agenda, no matter how much it hurts Coloradans.

We can’t let that kind of person ever represent Colorado in the Senate. This is a critical moment in our campaign, and we need an all-hands-on-deck effort to fight back and keep this seat out of the GOP’s grasp.
