John — this country was founded on a promise that each of us would have an equal say in our form of government. It took generations to begin to achieve that promise. But today’s extreme Republican Party is deliberately ripping away political power from groups they surgically target, all in an effort to hold onto GOP control. It’s happening across the country and right here in NC. Earlier this year, Donald Trump asked GOP state legislators to gerrymander their states out of cycle. North Carolina Republicans jumped at the chance — and they passed a blatant racial gerrymander that takes away voting power from Black communities. This is just the NC GOP’s latest bid to rig our state’s electoral maps in their own favor. It’s an egregious political scheme at the voters’ expense. We need to know where you stand, John: Do you SUPPORT or OPPOSE the NC GOP’s gerrymandering scheme?
