Washington postsecondary students are experiencing high levels of food insecurity – 44% according to a 2024 survey. Emerging research indicates that proactive approaches to support food security can have positive impacts on students’ persistence and completion. Six Washington campuses are testing innovative food security strategies to support students’ persistence in the Postsecondary Food Security Pilot [ [link removed]-(2SHB-1559)-(1).pdf?utm_medium=email&utm_source=WSAC ].
