We are excited to share that Democrats are beginning to close the voter registration gap here in Maricopa County.
In the fourth quarter of 2025, Democrats gained 0.4% more registered voters than Republicans.
At first glance, 0.4% may not sound like much. But in a county the size of Maricopa County, it is a significant gain.
There are more than 2.6 million registered voters and over 4.5 million residents in Maricopa County. Even a shift of 0.1% can make the difference between winning and losing.
That is especially true in Arizona, where elections are consistently decided by razor thin margins.
Attorney General Kris Mayes won by just 280 votes in 2022. Governor Katie Hobbs won by 0.6% in 2022. President Joe Biden won Arizona by 0.4% in 2020.
We expect 2026 to be just as close, if not closer.
That means this 0.4% gain is real, it matters, and it could decide dozens of races. And we are not stopping here. This work is just getting started, and we are preparing to hit the pavement even harder to register voters across Maricopa County.
After the disastrous 2024 election, Democratic voter registration was heading in the wrong direction. Now, we are turning the corner, but we have to keep pushing forward.
