At the end of last year, we published our report aiming to unlock the deadlock in the ongoing UK-EU negotiations - outlining 17 vital recommendations for a successful Youth Experience Scheme. 

Agreeing a Youth Experience Scheme, which would allow young people from Britain and the EU to live and work in eachothers' countries for a set number of years, is key to unlocking a closer relationship between the UK and the EU.

The European project has, at its core, been one of peace and prosperity. Closer social and economic ties have not just improved opportunities for millions, but delivered stability on our continent that is now once again under threat.

We must regain momentum on the reset with our friends across Europe. Sending this report to your MP will help move negotiations forward.

We are delighted that the government have adopted one of our key recommendations we published as far back as 2023 in rejoining the Erasmus+ scheme, but there is so much more to do.

The ongoing geopolitical uncertainty driven by the actions of the White House make clear the need for a strong and united Europe. 

2026 is bringing us more unsettling instability in global politics. In times of uncertainty it is imperative that we pull closer to our allies across the channel.

Allies that share our values of democracy, rule of law, and freedom. Allies that do not believe that might equals right.
