Happy New Year, John,
Do you have an idea for a panel or training you’d like to see on the agenda at Netroots Nation this summer in Philly? Good news: Our open call for session proposals is now open!
➡️ Click here for the guidelines and submission form.
Submit your ideas between now and January 30 for a chance to be part of this year's conference June 4-6 in Philadelphia.
For 20 years, Netroots Nation has been a leader in the progressive movement. Progressives have recently taken some tough blows, but in the words of Philly movie icon Rocky, “It ain't about how hard you hit; it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.”
Heading into the next decade of Netroots, we will pull no punches. Our movement has always been bigger than any hatred spewed on the right because we lead with love. So as we descend upon the City of Brotherly Love, we'll take a note from the legendary Roots crew and lead Netroots Nation into “The Next Movement: Planning and Pushing Toward Progressive Power.”
Netroots has always been the place where progress is made. We encourage you to submit your proposal on any of the critical issues facing the progressive movement with a keen emphasis on ideas, strategy and ACTION!
Want to propose a skills-based training? Design a training on deep canvassing, AI ethics or countering disinformation through social media.
Disappointed in the dismantling of DEI? Design a panel discussing why DEI isn’t a dirty word.
Pro tip: Consider how you can incorporate diverse speakers and thought leaders who will empower participants to apply ideas and strategies they learn to their own work.
This is your moment and your movement. Don’t miss the chance to make impactful, progressive change!
Are you ready to submit your idea? The deadline for submissions is January 30.
➡️ Click here for our guidelines and key dates and then submit your proposal.
I look forward to seeing your ideas!
Anthony Robinson

PS: Submissions are reviewed by topic-based session evaluation committees made up of peers from around the movement. If you're interested in joining a scoring committee, sign up here. In addition, we we are adding a public voting component (details to follow next week).
