Yesterday, Country First held a Day of Action demanding that Congress hang the January 6th plaque honoring the law enforcement officers who bravely defended our nation’s Capitol. Hundreds of Country First Members called in — veterans, parents, Republicans, Democrats, and independents — all united by a simple belief: we must honor those who protected our democracy when it was under attack.

Those calls mattered. Congressional offices heard, loud and clear, that Americans haven’t forgotten January 6th. Even Republican Senator Thom Tillis took to the Senate floor committing to hanging the January 6th Plaque. We will not allow the courage and sacrifice of our Capitol police officers to be buried by political cowardice. Thanks to you, this issue is no longer being ignored behind closed doors.

But the pressure can’t stop now.
