Friend – On Tuesday, January 13, the U.S. Supreme Court (SCOTUS) will hear B.P.J. and Hecox: two cases that could shape the futures of our transgender and nonbinary loved ones and community members for decades. The stakes couldn't be higher. Local governments are asking the court to uphold outright bans on transgender girls in girls' sports, but the impact goes far beyond athletics. A broad ruling could open the door to sweeping discrimination across public life – from our schools to workplaces to communal spaces. In a moment where President Trump is abusing his power to target our freedoms, suppress dissent, and create a climate of fear, we know exactly what's at play. These cases are part of a bigger effort to divide us and to push trans and nonbinary people into the shadows altogether. We refuse to let that happen – but we need you with us. Join us outside the Supreme Court on Tuesday, January 13, for Together We Win: Fight for the T in Team: Rally for Hecox and B.P.J. Trans Youth Cases at SCOTUS.
This rally brings together the ACLU-PA, ACLU, Lambda Legal, GSA Network, Transgender Law Center, and partners nationwide to unite as one front in support of transgender and nonbinary people and their right to live freely and equally. In solidarity, ACLU of Pennsylvania |
