One year ago today, the LA fires tore through our communities, destroying thousands of homes and structures, and claiming dozens of lives.
Incarcerated firefighters from across California were sent to help contain the deadly blazes, risking their lives to protect homes and neighborhoods.
During the fires, many of you learned about the stories of incarcerated firefighters and how little they earned for their bravery.
That’s why we launched our Firefighter Fund. To provide financial support to these brave men and women as they return home, helping them to rebuild their lives and continue their careers in firefighting.
