We are no doubt living through history. Trump – the self-appointed “Peace President” – has bombed no fewer than eight countries in the first year of his second term. He has invaded American cities and is fundamentally altering global alliances. That’s to say nothing of the tariffs. Remember those?
There is so much to be mad about. I haven’t even gotten to the January 6 anniversary, or the White House response.

But that anger comes from the knowledge of what came before. Our country hasn’t always been perfect – as Stuart Stevens is the first to acknowledge (especially when it comes to his old party). No doubt, we feel a collective sense of loss, and it might be difficult to see our way out of this.
But we are Americans. We are not Trump.
In this very special episode of The Strategy Session, Stuart’s friend and legendary journalist and author, James Fallows, joins to talk about where we’ve been, how we got here, and what happens next.
It’s a can’t miss show.
