Dear Friends, 

Happy New Year! I will be hosting my first telephone town hall of 2026 this Thursday, January 8th at 6:00 PM, to discuss skyrocketing health care costs, Trump’s military operation in Venezuela, and my priorities for 2026. You can register HERE.  

Before the holidays, four Republicans joined our effort to force a vote on a Democratic-led bill to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits 20 million Americans rely on. They expired January 1st, and already, families across the country are seeing rising costs. This week, the House will vote to restore these credits and take action to lower costs. 

In addition to the cost of health care, I know many of you are concerned by the Trump Administration’s actions in Venezuela, including the arrest and capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro this past weekend. I oppose this military action and demand accountability and transparency now before the U.S. becomes entangled in another forever war.   

As the new year begins, I remain focused on protecting access to health care, lowering costs, and holding the Trump Administration accountable. I look forward to having you on the line to hear from you and discuss these important issues.
