On Christmas Eve, the U.S. Postal Service quietly changed the rules in a way that could disqualify thousands of vote-by-mail ballots in 2026.
Instead of postmarking mail when it’s sent, USPS will now mark it when it’s processed – which means ballots dropped off on Election Day might not count at all.
This is voter suppression, plain and simple.
