*UPDATE: The Suquamish Regional Stormwater Facility project experienced an unexpected delay during excavation due to difficult subgrade conditions, and the road will remain closed tonight and into tomorrow (Wed., Jan. 7). The Roads team is appreciative of the contractor taking extra measures to secure the excavation site this evening and ensuring as safe an area as possible, Detour routes will be maintained.

*Suquamish Way NE and Augusta Ave NE *will be closed Monday-Tuesday, *Jan. 5-6, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.* between Division Ave NE and NE Geneva St due to construction on the Suquamish Regional Stormwater Facility. Detour via NE Geneva St and Division Ave NE. Large vehicles will be required to follow the detour route from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. starting the evening of Jan. 5.

The contractor for the Suquamish Regional Stormwater Facility will be installing the final stormwater structure which is located in the centerline of the roadway and will tie into existing infrastructure. The depth of the structure requires excavating into both lanes of travel and through access is impossible.

The contractor will work diligently to reduce impacts where at all possible. Once the work is completed, two-way vehicle access will be restored.
