Robert F. Kennedy Jr. — the unqualified, anti-science Secretary of Health and Human Services who last year fired our nation’s expert vaccine panel and appointed anti-vaccine conspiracy theorists in their place — announced his plan to overhaul the childhood vaccine schedule.

Gone are the recommendations for vaccines for rotavirus, influenza, meningitis, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and even RSV — the nation’s leading cause of infant hospitalization.

There is no reason that American children need to get sick from diseases that, in the year 2026, we have the ability to prevent. Past generations of parents would have given anything to be able to protect their children from these illnesses. I can only imagine how they would be horrified at our rejection of the miracle of vaccines now.

Our government’s duty is to protect the American people. RFK Jr.’s dangerous ideology is going to endanger their health and lives instead. I’m asking you to stand with me and speak out. Call on the federal government to protect vaccine access and encourage vaccination.

RFK’s justification for this overhaul is that he thinks our vaccination schedule should align with peer countries. John, it already does.

The vaccinations American children receive were nearly identical to those given in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Germany.

Meanwhile, the United States has an infant mortality rate consistently higher than our peer nations and a medical system that prices too many families out and fails rural communities altogether. And that was before Republicans made health care even less accessible for millions.

All the more reason to make sure we prevent diseases when it’s in our power to do so.

John, experts agree and evidence has proven (over and over and over) that vaccines are safe and effective. Our children don’t need to get sick with rotavirus or risk death from RSV. Vaccines can protect them. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the Trump Administration would rather take those vaccines away.
