| Five years ago, a violent mob stormed the Capitol to overturn the results of a lawful election at the behest of the President of the United States.
We owe a debt of gratitude to the brave men and women of the Capitol Police who stood in the breach in defense of our democracy.
That dark day was the start of a dark chapter in our history.
This isn't the first dark chapter we’ve ever experienced. It's not the worst we’ve experienced. It won’t be the last we’ll ever experience.
It is, however, our responsibility to turn the page.
The toxic greed, hate, and extremism exposed that day remains in our political bloodstream. Our failed president wants to keep poisoning us, keep dividing us. He'll start an illegal war. He'll play games with the Epstein files. He'll gaslight us about the economy. He'll let people die of preventable diseases in droves.
But I won’t be distracted by a clown and his circus. My mission is crystal-clear.
This year, I'll continue my fight for law and order, health care, education, jobs, affordable housing, and community safety.
And over the next five years, I’ll do whatever it takes to pass down a free nation to our kids and their kids after them.
We are going to outlast this president and be the authors of America’s next great chapter.
Together.
With love and gratitude,
Angela Alsobrooks
