You might know me as a Governor and a former Attorney General, but what you might not know about me is that I’m also a proud daughter of a school nurse.

That means that I learned early on just how important it is to keep kids healthy.

I watched my mom care for every student who came through her door — because she knew that when kids are healthy, they can learn, grow, and reach their full potential.

That’s what drives me to make sure families have accurate, science-backed information and access to the vaccines that they want and need.

Because what we’re seeing from DC should alarm all of us. Donald Trump gutted funding for medical research and put anti-vaccine conspiracy theorist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in charge of the Department of Health & Human Services.

So when RFK Jr. tried to deny access to vaccines, I directed my Department of Public Health to write vaccine prescriptions for everyone in this state. 

And while President Trump and RFK Jr. are yet again putting the health and wellbeing of our children at risk by abandoning longstanding vaccine recommendations, we're making sure all Massachusetts families can get the vaccines they need to keep their children healthy.
