Dear Neighbors,  

I hope you had a peaceful holiday season with family and loved ones. It is not lost on me that the federal government has been governing with force, cruelty, and division—a playbook we know all too well. Families are being separated, neighbors are being detained on their way to work, and sacred community spaces are being defiled by violence and violations of our constitutional and civil rights. 

We fight back by staying united and informed. Rep. Athena Hollins and I are hosting a Senate District 66 community town hall meeting on *Monday, January 26*, from *6:00pm-7:30pm in the Cherrywood Room at the UMN St. Paul Student Center*. Please RSVP here [ [link removed] ].

I recognize our district is still grappling with the brutal aftermath of hostile ICE operations, and the challenges will only continue as the federal government deploys more ICE agents in our state. Between the challenges of this past year with cruel federal policies and the need to strengthen state laws to protect all Minnesotans, your input is more important than ever. 

We want to hear what matters most to you and how we can best advocate for our district at the Capitol.
