Millions and millions of American families are seeing their health insurance costs go up by thousands (or even tens of thousands) of dollars.*

That’s because Republicans in Congress allowed subsidies that were part of the Affordable Care Act (a.k.a. Obamacare) — and that helped millions pay for their insurance — to expire.

Meanwhile, the Trump regime “rang in” the New Year by invading another country and launching America into yet another stupid, illegal, and expensive war over foreign oil. It may benefit a handful of fossil fuel companies, but it does exactly zilch to help everyday Americans pay for basic necessities.

Despite Trump’s utter disregard for skyrocketing health costs — or anything else related to affordability, which he seems to think is a word that literally didn’t exist until a few months ago — a bill has been introduced in Congress to restore the Affordable Care Act subsidies for at least three more years.

The bill is moving through the U.S. House of Representatives, with critical votes expected as early as Wednesday and Thursday this week.

Tell every member of the United States House of Representatives:

The American people simply cannot afford even higher health insurance premiums. While Donald Trump is sinking America into another ill-conceived and wasteful war over foreign oil, you can actually help everyday Americans by restoring the Affordable Care Act subsidies. Vote to bring the proposal to the floor and vote to pass it.

*Of course, healthcare costs in America are already shockingly and unnecessarily high, as the United States remains the sole wealthy nation that still doesn’t guarantee coverage for its citizens and instead allows healthcare to be a privatized, for-profit enterprise.
