John,

When my class returned from winter break, I used to ask my students to write down their hopes and dreams for the new year, or to look back at the goals they set at the beginning of the school year and see how they wanted to revise them.

I always made it a point to write one along with them.

As I look toward 2026, my hope and dream remain the same: that every student and educator can walk into their school building feeling only the excitement of learning, not the quiet weight of "what if."

At Teachers Unify, we don’t just hope for that future; we are building the prevention infrastructure to make it a reality. We are starting this year with a clear vision, but expanding our programs — such as Project Lockdown, The Secure Storage School Campaign, and our Crisis Intervention and Support team — requires the support of this grassroots team.

If you believe that teachers deserve to go to work and students deserve to go to school without fearing gun violence, please consider making a gift today to help us start the year strong. Your support ensures that we can keep providing the tools, training, and care that educators are asking for. [[link removed]]

Thank you,
