First: Ohio passed one of the country’s strictest voter ID laws back in 2023.

Now: Gov. DeWine signed yet another voter suppression bill into law right before the holidays — this time requiring citizenship “checks” of registered voters that would inaccurately flag eligible US citizen voters and purge them from the rolls.

Next: VoteRiders is mobilizing to reach the millions of Ohioans whose voting rights are at risk to make sure they have the ID and documentation they need to register and vote.

Ohio will have a competitive Senate election this year, and we want to be sure everyone can participate. Ohio voters need our help! Make a generous gift now so we can increase our outreach and support for Ohio voters whose voting rights are at risk.

Our national research shows that 9% of the US voting age population does not have ready access to proof of citizenship documents — the very type of documents that voters could be required to produce to get back on the rolls after being wrongly purged.

We’re ready to help Ohio eligible voters get the paperwork, appointments, and transportation they need to get this documentation — but it all costs money that we weren't planning for in Ohio this year.
