John,
Washington, DC is under direct attack—and this moment calls for DC
residents to lead. The current administration is systematically coming
after DC’s right to govern itself:
* Deployment of the National Guard into our city
* More than 16 bills in Congress seeking to overturn DC local
laws—largely targeting criminal justice and policing
* Budget riders designed to prevent DC from governing ourselves
altogether
This is federal overreach. And we’re organizing to stop it.

History is clear: for fascism to succeed, its leaders must control the
capital. A free America is only possible when control resides with the
people.
See you in the streets,
