Construction Resumes on SR 104/ATMS Project in Kingston

"Port Orchard, WA)" - Contractor work is resuming in Kingston on the SR 104 Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) [ [link removed] ]. Traffic impacts are expected near Lindvog Rd NE and the intersection of SR 104 and Lindvog Rd NE this week. Shoulder closures only are planned for Tuesday and Wednesday.

On Thursday, January 8, and Friday, January 9, drivers should expect alternating single-lane closures with flaggers and uniformed police officers assisting with traffic control. Signal interruptions are expected on Thursday while electrical work is completed. Pavement marking removal will occur Thursday, followed by final striping on Friday, weather permitting.

This is a Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) project, with Kitsap County managing construction. Once operational, WSDOT and Washington State Ferries will oversee system operations. The project will improve traffic flow and ferry terminal access by installing new signal infrastructure and an advanced ticket dispensing system.
