Team—as our next fundraising deadline looms, I’m remembering the friends who warned me about taking on Mitch McConnell and his network of shadowy, special-interest friends.

Earlier this month, we learned that outside groups just sank $15 million into attack ads this fall. They know this race is extremely close. And they’re showing us they’re willing to spend whatever it takes to protect Mitch.

Look, I get it. Our underdog campaign is just barely trailing in the polls to a 35-year incumbent. We’ve built a grassroots operation that’s giving Mitch the fight of his political life.

Mitch’s cronies think they can save him with boatloads of dark money. But we won’t let them drown us out, or let any of their attacks go unanswered.

This won’t be easy. But the way we face off against $15 million (or higher) in spending from outside groups, is by doing what we do best: fighting back one person, one donation at a time. The way we defeat Mitch and get our democracy back on track is through people like you giving what you can, when you can.

Chip in before our monthly deadline, and let’s make sure that in November, we win this fight:
