Today, the Pennsylvania General Assembly convenes for a new legislative session.
Once again, Harrisburg faces divided government. Republicans hold the majority in the State Senate, Democrats cling to a one-seat majority in the House, and Democrat Governor, Shady Josh Shapiro, stands ready to veto conservative reforms.
Pennsylvanians saw exactly how this played out last year. Even when Republican lawmakers advanced common-sense policies on taxes, energy, public safety, education, and election integrity, Democrats pulled out all the stops to block them and protect their billionaire donors, like George Soros.
The result was predictable: more spending, no structural reform, and Pennsylvania families left paying the price.
If we want real conservative reform in our Commonwealth, that must change.
