Today, we’re excited to announce the next convening in PPI’s New Directions series, focused on the future of the Democratic Party and the country’s path forward. For our third retreat, we hope you’ll join us in Lansing, Michigan on February 6–7, 2026, featuring Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
PPI launched New Directions last year with convenings in Colorado and Nevada, bringing together rising political leaders outside of Washington for strategic dialogue focused on strengthening economic opportunity and reconnecting with working Americans.
Michigan is a hub of America’s manufacturing, innovation, and small-business economy. It’s also a place where leaders are confronting the challenges facing working families and the future of economic growth. In Lansing, we will bring together elected officials, policy experts, and emerging leaders from throughout the state and across the country for candid discussions focused on pragmatic ideas and shared challenges.
The program will feature discussions on affordability, workforce development, education, energy, and cultural issues shaping public trust and political engagement.
These strategy sessions have a clear purpose: to listen, to learn, and to help shape a forward-looking agenda grounded in the lived realities of working Americans.
Please fill out the form below if you’d like to attend the Michigan convening, and feel free to reach out to Jolie Libert at [email protected] with any questions.
