Dear John,
From birddogging in the halls of Congress, to demonstrating in the streets, to disrupting dinners in swanky restaurants, CODEPINK spent 2025 confronting power and inspiring the masses. Just days into the new year, Trump has already bombed Venezuela and kidnapped its president and is continuing warmongering against Iran; 2026 is shaping up to be critically important for the anti-war movement.
I’ll let you in on a secret: We don’t just disrupt warmongers to remind them of all the harm they’ve caused and the people they’ve killed. While that’s certainly a big part of it, we do it primarily to show people all over the world — in Gaza, Cuba, inside of the belly of the beast, and beyond — that the ruling class’s crimes aren’t going unnoticed and unchallenged. Thanks to the platform you’ve given us over the years, we’ve been able to inspire people who see us online to take real action and join the movement for a better world. Although the polls show that a vast majority of people don’t support war, that alone won’t stop the war machine. Our work is to mobilize this majority and turn these people into peace activists. Most people who sign up to organize with CODEPINK come to us because they saw one of our disruptions and were inspired to take the next step.
Thanks to your support, we had a number of powerful disruptions last year. We need your help to keep going. The people in power aren’t happy with us and are pulling out all the stops to try and intimidate us. We need you now more than ever.

Here are CODEPINK’s most viral moments, which brought more people into the anti-war movement in 2025:
<[link removed]>1. Disrupting Kristi Noem while dressed as the priest from The Exorcist: We disrupted Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, the woman who is overseeing Trump’s mass deportation regime. CODEPINKers disrupted her hearing, calling for an end to the separation of families and ICE terror. Both activists were arrested, but their creative, courageous disruption got a whopping eight MILLION impressions, touching people’s hearts all over the world.
<[link removed]>2. Disrupting Trump and his cabinet at dinner: When Trump’s cabinet strolled in for dinner at a DC restaurant, CODEPINKers were ready to remind them of the holocaust they are supporting in Gaza. As they sat down to eat, children were starving to death and bombs were raining down on already destroyed cities in Gaza. Why should the men who fund that horror be allowed to eat an extravagant meal without being confronted? This got millions of impressions and over 8,000 supportive comments.
<[link removed]>3. Disrupting Kash Patel and Tom Cotton’s lies: In a Senate intelligence hearing with FBI Director Kash Patel, where he was testifying about the world’s greatest “threats,” CODEPINK’s Tighe Barry got up and told the senators that the world’s biggest threat is Israel! After Tighe was taken out of the room, Senator Tom Cotton started spewing hateful lies about CODEPINK. Our very own Colonel Ann Wright got up and set the record straight.
<[link removed]>4. Disrupting genocide denier and new CBS Editor-In-Chief Bari Weiss in Chicago: The people who hold power aren’t just in the White House or in Congress, they’re in newsrooms, deciding which stories get to be told and which ones don’t. This became even more apparent when Bari Weiss, fresh off of accepting the position of editor-in-chief at CBS, spiked a 60 Minutes story about CECOT, the torture camp in El Salvador that the Trump administration has been sending people to. We anticipated Bari being a barrier for truth, since she has repeatedly denied the genocide in Gaza. We attended her event in Chicago to make it clear to Bari and all those in attendance that she isn’t a real journalist; she’s an apologist for warmongers all over the world, from Netanyahu to Trump!
<[link removed]>5. We gave a “toast” to US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent: We sure run into Trump administration officials at dinner quite often! Secretary Scott Bessent, who is waging economic wars on Cuba, Venezuela, and Iran, among others, was enjoying his dinner when CODEPINKers saw him and did a “toast” to him in front of the whole restaurant. We let everyone know that it’s Secretary Bessent who imposes the sanctions that kill 600,000 people annually. Blood is on his hands — and everyone who eats around war criminals ought to know it!
These were just five of our disruptions in 2025, made possible by your support. They moved countless people from merely being against war to actually taking action for peace. That’s precisely why CODEPINK exists. Thanks to you, we’re able to inspire millions of people each and every year.
We don’t plan on slowing down in 2026. We have a lot in the works to continue disrupting the war machine, holding war criminals accountable, and turning ordinary people into rockstar peace activists.
