Five years ago today, millions of Americans watched in horror as thousands of insurrectionists stormed the seat of American Democracy to overturn the peaceful transition of power.

I was there. I personally saw the anger, the violence, the sheer determination to overthrow our nation’s almost 250-year experiment in democratic self-governance.

They assaulted police, looted the Capitol, threatened to hang the sitting Vice President, and forever shook the belief in the stability of our democracy.

Four years later, as soon as Donald Trump took office, one of his first actions as the “law and order” President was to pardon over 1,600 January 6th rioters, many of whom violently assaulted law enforcement. 

What came next for the rioters? It’s time America found out. Country First is launching a new video ad exposing the tragic consequences of Trump’s blanket January 6th pardon and the crimes committed in its wake.

Preserving American Democracy will require a broad coalition of engaged, freedom-loving Americans from all walks of life.

Help mark today’s solemn fifth anniversary of the January 6th insurrection by taking action with a small contribution that will help get this ad in front of as many Americans as possible.

January 6th was a dark day in our Nation’s history.  But something beautiful was born out of it.  And that’s the Country First movement.  And because of you, because of what you and this movement stands for, I know America’s best days are ahead of her. But it’s going to take hard work and sacrifice to get there.
