A new year brings new energy, and as we kick off 2026, we hold space for both the hope that guides us and the challenges that remain ahead. We’re deeply grateful for those who have helped us to accomplish our mission and the progress we made together in 2025. Still, there is more work to be done in the fight to prevent suicide.
Your support helped us achieve incredible impact this past year:
- $8.5 million in grants funded for 36 new research studies
- 3,200 prevention, education, support, and healing programs hosted, reaching over 126,000 lives
- Nearly 600 community and campus Out of the Darkness Walks with over 240,000 participants and $24 million raised
- Broader public awareness efforts reaching more than 220 million people through social media, TV, radio, and print media campaigns
These aren’t just numbers. They represent lives touched, hope restored, and communities strengthened. They represent the power of coming together to look out for one another. And we’re just getting started.
While our momentum is growing, our mission at AFSP remains unchanged going into 2026: to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide.
A gift today helps ensure this life-saving work continues for every person, family, and community who needs it. If you’re able, please contribute and continue moving hope forward with us.
