While we were all having a nice holiday, hopefully not thinking about the news too much, Trump escalated his attacks on renewable energy by suspending five offshore wind projects that were already fully permitted and under construction.
This is just another continuation of his relentless attacks on clean energy when he thinks no one is going to be paying attention. But we’re not going to let him get away with it.
Look, John: It’s no secret that Donald Trump hates offshore wind for no reason other than he would rather line the pockets of the fossil fuel companies who helped him get elected.
Trump has called wind turbines ugly, expensive, a threat to birds and other wildlife, and now he’s claiming they’re a threat to national security. It’s all a bunch of nonsense.
It is abundantly clear that Donald Trump will do and say anything to kill clean energy projects that seek to provide clean, affordable power for millions of Americans — just when the country’s need for electricity is surging.
