Friends and neighbors,

Earlier today, Governor Tim Walz announced he will not seek another term in office. This is obviously welcome news for Minnesota.

The truth is this administration has been a disaster. We have seen massive fraud on a scale that should never happen. Billions of taxpayer dollars were stolen while the governor and state agencies were asleep at the wheel. And when problems came to light what did we get from Gov. Walz? Finger-pointing, deflection, or silence.

We got here because Gov. Walz and his administration stopped taking their responsibilities seriously. Instead of focusing on basics like oversight, accountability, and public safety, they chased ideology and what they thought was good politics for their base. And you paid the price.

This is a chance to turn the page and start to rebuild trust in government. We deserve leadership that respects taxpayers, follows the law, and takes fraud seriously. The state will be better off when the Walz chapter finally closes.
