Please join us on TONIGHT, to learn about a local example of prairie restoration, sited at Holy Wisdom Monastery, an ecumenical Benedictine monastery. Caring for the earth is one of the core mission elements at Holy Wisdom. Our speaker, Dr. Amy Alstad, will share stories and photos weaving together the past, present, and future of ecological restoration at Wisdom Prairie, while exploring how visitors and the climate benefit from the restored prairie.

Dr. Amy Alstad is the director of land management and environmental education at Holy Wisdom Monastery. She has a PhD in prairie ecology from UW–Madison, more than a decade of professional experience in the field of restoration ecology, and a deep-rooted family tradition of restoring and tending prairies that spans four generations.
