Governor Tim Walz announced today he will not seek a third term as governor. After years of watching tax dollars be stolen while government grows and increasingly becomes out-of-touch, Minnesotans are ready to turn the page. During Gov. Walz’s tenure, hardworking Minnesotans continue to be victimized by rampant fraud, skyrocketing taxes and spending, increasing of burdensome rules and regulations that hurt small businesses and local governments, and a shocking lack of basic common sense. Minnesota will be better off with new leadership in the Governor’s Office.
Gov. Walz is abandoning his reelection campaign in the face of serious questions about fraud and mismanagement having occurred across state government on his watch. The fraud does not disappear just because one politician walks away. Minnesotans still deserve answers and consequences for those who failed to protect against fraud. Minnesotans deserve to know how billions were stolen and why so many warning signs were ignored.
In my opinion, Gov. Walz DID NOT bow out of running for re-election because of the rampant fraud details uncovered to-date. Instead, I suspect Gov. Walz bowed out because of the ADDITIONAL rampant fraud details soon to be uncovered in the near future as a result of the investigative efforts taking place via President Trump, Federal prosecutors, and other authorities. Back in 2023, when Democrats had a stranglehold trifecta in Minnesota, there was $18-billion surplus that was completely squandered by Democrats. I highly suspect as more fraud details are released that the magnitude of fraud may exceed the former $18-billion surplus.
With Gov. Walz out of office after 2026, I’m hopeful Minnesota can be turned around. With the right leadership in place, fraud and misuse of taxpayers dollars can be stopped. I am proud to be a Minnesotan and yet under the Walz Administration our great state has turned into the laughing stock of the country. We went from being known as a place of prosperity and resilience to a place of riots and theft. Minnesota needs a change in leadership and it starts, but does not end, with Tim Walz.
