Let me be clear about what this campaign is and isn’t. This is not about replacing work or lowering expectations. It’s about restoring the basic promise that if you work hard, the system should work for you too. People are already doing their part. What’s broken are the systems around them.
- As wages fall behind, employers should be part of the solution — not put the entire burden on workers.
- As healthcare costs rise, the largest providers and insurers should be part of the solution rather than putting the burden solely on patients.
- When schools struggle, we shouldn’t drain their funding and walk away.
-And when rules are enforced, they should apply to everyone—no special treatment.
Government gets expensive not because it acts, but because it stands by while problems grow.
This is the year we stop shrugging. The year we hold power accountable, expand opportunity, and make sure hard work means something again.
