This weekend, Trump launched an illegal kidnapping of Venezuela's President. He launched a bombing campaign that killed innocent civilians and destabilized a country with no plan for the future except for one thing: that Trump is willing to invade again and again and again unless we can steal their oil.
It has nothing to do with democracy.
It has nothing to do with humanitarian aid.
It has nothing to do with making Americans' lives better.
It's about Trump proving that he can use the military for whatever he wants. He's already used the military to deploy into American soils — to treat the American people as enemy combatants. But Gen Z voters aren't going to stand for this. We're sick of wars for oil and regime change.
Trump's war has everything to do with his own authoritarianism.
Trump's war has everything to do with racist deportations.
Trump's war has everything to do with making Americans subservient to a dictator.
Articles have already been introduced to impeach Pete Hegseth.
He's jeopardizing the lives and security of Americans as well as other countries, from Venezuela to Greenland. Meanwhile, he's using his position in our government to coddle up to vicious dictators like Putin who he welcomed onto American soil.
But it's obvious he will never voluntarily step down.
Path to Progress is a no-holds-barred, youth-led multimedia organization working to advance progressive policy goals and hold politicians accountable through digestible digital content and groundbreaking policy proposals.
After the first month of Trump's second term, we became the first organization to call for his impeachment. Our petition demanding Congress begin impeachment proceedings has reached thousands of signatures. Trump's attack on birthright citizenship and subversion of Congress's powers are blatantly unconstitutional and constitute high crimes and misdemeanors. We're telling every Member of Congress: decorum can wait, but democracy can’t.
We are the only progressive think tank led by Gen Z for Gen Z.
Path to Progress will support candidates and policies which are both viable and, more importantly, friendly to Gen Z. We will produce content and publish policy proposals that show our frustration with systemic issues while encouraging actionable steps to increase youth voter turnout and ensure that election winners are as progressive as possible.
