I am incredibly excited to announce that former Mayor Bill Bell of Durham, NC has endorsed my candidacy for the United States Senate!
Mayor Bell was just recognized this weekend at the annual Durham Committee on the Affairs of Black People banquet as a leader that has substantially impacted Durham and the lives of African Americans. This recognition could not be bestowed upon a more fitting recipient.
Senator Kamala Harris, the banquet's keynote speaker, said of Bell, "many may not be able to see what leadership looks like until they see a leader like him."
We congratulate Mayor Bell for his award this weekend and thank him not only for his endorsement of this campaign but for his years upon years of service to the people of Durham and the state of North Carolina.
