It is almost midnight on the clock of American democracy.
This week, Donald Trump abused the War Powers Resolution— another
deliberate breach of the rule of law by the Trump regime. He is pushing
our country toward war without congressional approval, testing whether
anyone will stop him.
These are the moves of a fascist: unchecked power, endless war, and
ordinary people paying the price while the wealthy profit and consolidate
control.
Historian Heather Cox Richardson warns that the next three months are
critical: the window before consolidation hardens into something elections
alone may not undo.
This is a duty moment. Feminists have a duty to defend our neighbors, our
futures, and our democracy when midnight is this close.
