MI Environment highlights tax credits available to businesses, nonprofits for clean energy upgrades
MI Environment, the newsletter of the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE), recently highlighted federal clean energy tax credits available for Michigan businesses and tax-exempt entities considering investments for energy efficiency.
These incentives are saving working families and businesses thousands of dollars, and they also are helping to advance goals in the MI Healthy Climate Plan [ [link removed] ], supporting jobs in Michigan, and ensuring reliable energy as demand for electricity continues to grow.
Some tax credit options are being phased out while others have deadlines as soon as *June 30, 2026*. Every dollar in credit that can be claimed before cuts take effect or deadlines pass amounts to real money saved.
