As a kid, I thought that if I admitted I was gay, I wouldn’t be able to have kids. I was crushed.

But a couple decades later, I was able to marry my wonderful husband and welcome our first baby. I’m grateful for how far we’ve come.

But Herbert, my opponent, Paul LePage, doesn’t see things the same way:
