As we welcome the New Year, I want to wish you and your family a happy, healthy, and prosperous year ahead. Thank you for the trust you place in me. I look forward to continuing our work together to strengthen our community and our country.
Ensuring Accountability: President Trump's decisive actions under Operation Absolute Resolve demonstrate a renewed commitment to holding narco-terrorists like Nicolás Maduro accountable. The operation underscores the urgent need to confront drug cartels responsible for the overdose crisis that has taken the lives of countless Americans, as well as for exporting violent criminal gangs such as Tren de Aragua to terrorize our communities. Upholding the rule of law through the American justice system is essential to dismantling Venezuelan narcotics networks and ensuring that those who profit from this destruction are ultimately punished. Accountability is not only a legal obligation, but a moral imperative to protect American lives. I applaud the Administration and brave men and women serving in our military who flawlessly carried out this historic mission!
Delivering Results for America: As we start 2026, it’s also important to reflect on the real wins delivered for the American people. From cutting taxes and securing the border to lowering energy costs and protecting rural healthcare, House Republicans and President Trump are delivering. Promises made, promises kept is more than just a slogan. Below is a brief recap of the highlights from 2025.
2025 Victories
Last year, we passed the Working Families Tax Cuts-the largest middle and working class tax relief package in American history. This legislation delivers a generational investment in border security, rolls back harmful energy mandates, enacts landmark Medicaid and SNAP reforms that restore integrity and reward work, and codifies 70 of President Trump’s Executive Orders, along with many other major achievements. We also enacted the Rural Health Transformation Fund which provides a $50 billion investment to strengthen and improve rural healthcare across America. And this is just the beginning. The House also passed the Lower Health Care Premiums for All Americans Act last month which would expand healthcare options and lower premiums for all Americans. I remain committed to continuing work on this critical issue this year.
Thanks to decisive leadership on border security, illegal crossings have plunged to historic lows, with releases down to zero, and more than 2 million illegal aliens were deported in 2025. This is what border security looks like.
Additionally, the economic and tax policies enacted this year have boosted America’s global competitiveness, attracted major foreign investment, and fueled job creation and GDP growth. As more provisions of the Working Families Tax Cuts take effect in 2026, American families and workers will continue to benefit.

Improving Newborn Screening: Early detection saves lives. While the Department of Health and Human Services recently added two new conditions to the newborn screening program, more work remains. I am actively working on legislation to strengthen and enhance newborn screening so more children have the best possible start in life. Learn more about my efforts here.
Fighting for Our Heroes: I will never stop fighting to ensure our Veterans and service members receive the care and benefits they have earned.
