If you enjoy fishing, birding, or experiencing wildlife firsthand, John, you have wetlands — like marshes, swamps and floodplains — to thank for providing a habitat for 40% of the world’s plant and wildlife species.
Despite all of the benefits they bring for communities and wildlife, the Trump administration wants to roll back protections for U.S. wetlands, putting communities, clean water and wildlife at risk.
We need to show the Trump administration that wetlands matter and people across the country care about protecting them. Add your voice before the comment period closes tomorrow! [link removed]

About 90% of all U.S. wetlands could soon be without protection under the Clean Water Act, according to changes proposed by the Trump administration.
If this proposal moves forward, developers could more easily pave over millions of acres of land that filter drinking water, store carbon and nurture about half of all the threatened and endangered species in the U.S.
It would also further raise flood risks at an already risky time. Wetlands absorb excess rainwater, reducing flood damage during heavy rain events. As climate pollution warms the air, heavy rains and big storms are becoming more frequent.
We’re running out of time to protect these critical ecosystems. Your comment today will show our leaders that wetlands matter, for both people and our planet. Add your voice now. [link removed]
