Dr. Mehmet Oz, the TV host that Trump put in charge of Medicare and Medicaid, is piling bureaucracy and red tape onto Medicaid recipients.

States across the country are now overwhelmed by new administrative hurdles, unclear federal guidance, and rapidly changing deadlines. Some states have stepped up to protect stroke survivors, who in many cases struggle to speak, read, or complete complex paperwork. Others have not. The result is a patchwork of inconsistent decisions that leaves vulnerable people at risk of losing lifesaving care.

This burdensome bureaucracy is kicking deserving people off of Medicaid without the ability to fight back. We must stand up for them today! Send a message to Dr. Oz urging him to protect stroke survivors from having their Medicaid cancelled!

Illness comes for us all. But Dr. Oz wants to treat medical conditions like moral deficiencies.

We must keep fighting to make health care a human right.
