UPDATE: Murder trial in Guatemala against Hudbay's former head of security
Due to Covid19, the July 23, 2020 date for the begining of the retrial of Mynor Padilla (for murder of Adolfo Ich, shooting-paralyzing of German Chub) was suspended.
It has been re-set for December 17, 2020.

UPDATE: Militarization of mining-harmed Q'eqchi' communities
On July 20, 2020, the US, Canadian , Swiss-backed regime of Guatemala enacted a military state of siege, and militarized the mining-harmed communities of El Estor on behalf of Swiss mining company Solway Investment Group, that bought the illegally operating mine from Hudbay in 2011
Emergency funds are needed.
