Nida made history as the first Muslim woman ever elected to any office in North Carolina in 2020. Now she’s running for Congress to keep up the fight for her community.
This was an easy endorsement for us because she supports the bold, working-class first policies we need and is committed to taking on every corporate Super PAC and right-wing lobby to deliver them. Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, and affordable housing all get another vote and a forceful voice in Congress if we elect her.
But this race is far from easy. Her opponent is completely bought and sold: AIPAC, Crypto, Wall Street, and Big Pharma got her elected in the first place. She returned the favor by voting in their interests, not her constituents’.
Our government will only change if the people who make it up change. The do-nothing Democrats who have stymied our progress for too long have to go — and be replaced by progressive champions like Nida Allam.
