[1]Sarah McBride - Democrat for Congress[2]Sarah McBride - Democrat for Congress
One year ago today, I was sworn in as Delaware’s
Congresswoman.
When I ran for this seat, I promised I’d work with anyone willing to
deliver for Delawareans — and stand up to anyone hurting our state.
Over the last year, I’ve had to do more standing up than I ever hoped as
we pushed back against the chaos, incompetence, and cruelty of the Trump
administration and the Republican-controlled House.
But here’s what I’m proud of: Even as we defended affordable health care,
fought to protect our vulnerable neighbors under attack, and called out
Trump’s abuses of power, we delivered.
In my first year, I’ve introduced more bipartisan legislation than any
other member of the freshman class — something many people
didn’t expect from the first out trans member of Congress in this
political environment.
We’ve returned nearly $4 million directly to my constituents in Delaware.
And just recently, I worked across the aisle to successfully push this
administration to restore $1 billion to home health care nationwide,
protecting a critical kind of care for so many people.
That’s what public service looks like — showing up, rolling up your sleeves, and
fighting relentlessly for the people you represent.

you make your
very first contribution of 2026 so I can win re-election
this year and keep fighting for working people in the House?
