Bring on 2026!

My wish for you and your family is to have a blessed, happy, and healthy 2026. The start of a new year is always a moment to reflect on where we’ve been and recommit to where we’re going, especially here in Texas.

As we begin 2026, I’m excited to hit the ground running and continue serving the great state of Texas. I am running for re-election as Lieutenant Governor to keep fighting for our conservative values.

I will continue to cut school property taxes by leading efforts to raise the homestead exemption once again and by lowering the eligibility age for the senior homestead exemption from 65 to 55. This allows home values to be frozen for nearly 3 million homeowners for the rest of their lives, eliminating the appraisal cap issue for them. Click here to watch the video.

DEMOCRATS WILL TRY AGAIN

Make no mistake, Democrats will try to turn Texas blue once again. They will make a big push, bolstered by out-of-state money. They know if they can take Texas, we’ll never elect a Republican to the White House again because the combined electoral votes of California, New York, and Texas cannot be overcome.

WE MUST BE UNITED AS ONE PARTY

After the primaries and run-off elections are decided, we must come together as one united Texas Republican Party. Democrats lost Texas a couple of decades ago because their party split in several directions. We cannot and must not allow that to happen to our party in 2026. I look forward to the campaign ahead and to continuing to deliver results for Texas. No one will outwork us.

ALERT FOR REPUBLICANS IN SD 9 TARRANT COUNTY: Vote for Leigh Wambsganss

Congratulations to Leigh Wambsganss on her huge victory in the SD 9 special election in November! But our work is far from over.

There is a very important special election in Tarrant County to fill the open Texas Senate seat vacated by Sen. Kelly Hancock.

Leigh WAMBSGANSS absolutely crushed her moderate Republican challenger in round one; the fight isn’t over yet!

Now she faces a Democrat in the runoff. Special elections like this are tricky, and success often comes down to turnout.

This is a Republican district, but SD 9 voters cannot take it for granted. We need every Republican to vote either by mail, early voting, or on Election Day, January 31.

President Trump, Governor Abbott, Tarrant County Judge Tim O’Hare, along with every grassroots organization, and I have endorsed Leigh Wambsganss.

I need her in the Texas Senate. If you live in SD 9, please be sure to vote early or on January 31.

Mark your calendars with these key election dates!

Vote Early: Wednesday, January 21 – Tuesday, January 27
Election Day: Saturday, January 31

No Fraud in Texas!

The results of the State Auditor’s report released Wednesday on Texas Southern University are beyond disturbing and show, at a minimum, clear mismanagement of millions of taxpayer dollars over many years.

The new TSU President, who has been on the job for less than two years, agrees with the State Auditor’s findings and has expressed a willingness to take corrective action. The Governor, Speaker, and I have already taken action by putting a stop to spending on all contracts other than ongoing university expenses to keep the school open.

On November 10 of last year, I requested a Texas Rangers investigation into any potential criminal wrongdoing. That investigation is ongoing.

It is my hope, for the sake of the students at the university, that TSU can continue. However, to do so, dramatic and permanent changes must occur immediately to comply with state standards. Millions upon millions of taxpayer dollars are unaccounted for. The audit report states that 83% of sampled assets cannot be located.

I will do everything within my power to be sure that not one additional taxpayer dollar goes unaccounted for ever again at TSU.

TSU is solely responsible for this fiasco. If TSU does not remedy the situation, the Legislature will.

Thank you for all your support over the years and for everything you do to keep Texas red. May God bless you and your family, and may He continue to bless the greatest state of all—Texas.

Sincerely,

Dan Patrick
