As Steve Bullock's campaign manager, it's my job to make sure we're doing everything we can to win. That includes finding the resources to fund key parts of our strategy like the advertising budget and our organizing plan.

I'm coming to you now because I just went over our July fundraising numbers and, to be blunt, we are behind where we should be right now.

Summer is always tough for fundraising, but we need to catch up if we're going to compete with what Mitch McConnell and his allies are spending on the air in Montana right now.

So I'm asking: Will you pitch in whatever you can today to help us catch up? Anything you're able to contribute will be put to work right away:

We always knew this race would be an uphill climb.

Our Washington opponent has the full weight of McConnell's corporate donor network behind him, and they're already spending millions on blatantly false ads attacking Steve.

There is no doubt in my mind that Steve Bullock will make a great U.S. Senator. As governor, he's always fought to do right by Montanans, whether it's expanding affordable health care to folks across the state or protecting our public lands from special interests looking to sell them off to big corporations.

But if we let McConnell spread lies about Steve's record unchecked, we could lose this race.

That's why we need to catch up in our fundraising right now. We need to respond to these ads and make sure Montana voters get the facts about Steve Bullock's record. Can you pitch in now to help?

Thank you for all you do for our campaign. Every contribution means so much to Steve and to our entire team. We're grateful to be in this fight alongside you.
