John: today, I’m excited to share with you that I have endorsed Cori Bush for Congress in Missouri’s 1st District!

Cori was born, raised, and educated in the district and is a proud St. Louisian. She is a registered nurse, an ordained pastor, and a Ferguson-made activist running to represent the people. She intimately understands the struggles of her communities because she’s lived them firsthand — and now she’s ready to fight for her community in Congress..

I know Cori will be a great colleague in the House. Together, we’ll fight for our constituents, and for policies like Medicare for All and a Green New Deal.

Missouri’s 1st District includes St. Louis and Ferguson — and much like the Bronx and Westchester, the area is in desperate need of big, bold change amidst the crises of the pandemic, deadly police violence, and unemployment.

But after almost 20 years in decline, the incumbent representative has not delivered — and the lives of the working people, especially Black people, in Missouri’s 1st District have gotten worse, not better.
