Hey John, I have a question for you.
Do you know what happens if you tax a billionaire at 8%?
They’re still a billionaire!
Plus, the money from that tax goes toward ensuring that we all have safe roads to drive on, that all of our kids can go to good schools, and that we all have access to healthcare.
Now, with that in mind, another quick question:
My answer is simple. I believe that in a moment of deep inequality, we should have a billionaire tax.
If you’re making hundreds of millions of dollars every year, you can afford to pay a little more in taxes so that we can all live better lives — and even then, your kids’ kids’ kids will still be rich.
The only thing that’s stopping us from pursuing this and building a better future is our broken political system — one that lets corporations and billionaires buy off politicians to protect their vast wealth.
But one volunteer, one donor, one supporter at a time, our movement is changing the status quo and fighting for an economy that isn’t rigged against working people.
If you’re with me and believe that we should implement a billionaire tax, add your name by clicking here.
Thank you,
Abdul
