Hi — I hope you had the chance to enjoy some well-earned rest over the holidays. I wanted to reach out to share two things with you:

First, I wanted to say thank you. I know my team and I reached out a little more often than usual over the holidays. Trust me, I wish we didn’t have to, but we were right on the edge of our FEC fundraising goal, and we needed to do everything we could to hit it (even if it meant sending along a few annoying emails).

Second, I wanted to share some good news. Because so many people like you stepped up before the end of the year, we hit our fundraising goal with just a few minutes to spare. I’ll be honest… I was almost looking closer at our ActBlue page than the clock on New Year’s Eve. But given everything that’s at stake, hopefully you understand!

But just as one challenge ends, another begins. In a matter of months (and trust me, it sneaks up faster than you’d ever expect), voters all across the country will fill out their ballots and determine the path our country will set out on.

Will we choose two more years of Republican chaos and cruelty? Or will we switch course, and elect a government that protects our neighbors? One that makes life easier for regular families? One that defends our fundamental rights, instead of dismantling them piece by piece?

I know which path I’m fighting for. And I know you do too. So let’s win that path. Together.
