John,

Welcome back to the EDF Momentum newsletter! As we step into the new year, we’re proud to celebrate the progress we’ve made together in 2025 — and we’re ready to tackle the challenges that still lie ahead.

This month we’ll spotlight the actions, stories and voices that make climate progress possible: defending wetlands, lowering electric bills and celebrating the future of Texas water rights.

But first I want to personally thank you, John, for your continued support. Members like you are the driving force behind real environmental wins, and we can’t wait to keep building on that momentum in 2026.

Last chance to defend wetlands!

Wetlands are necessary to protect our communities. Without them, there will be more frequent flooding, reduced water quality and higher water bills.

The Trump administration announced in November that it would roll back protections for these critical ecosystems. Add your voice to protect wetlands before the comment period closes on Monday, January 5.

Thanks to those efforts, Texas now has funds that will support safe, clean water for the future. Discover how this win happened and what comes next.
